Overall Purpose of the Role:

As an Art Director I in the Creative Services Department, you will advance your leadership role, taking on increased responsibilities and contributing to the strategic vision of the creative team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will lead and inspire a team of creatives to elevate the visual storytelling and design standards. This role requires a higher level of creativity, strategic thinking, and hands-on design expertise.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Creative & Visual Direction: Explore and set artistic direction across a wide range of project types. 

  • Translate project requirements: The Art Director acts as the pivotal conduit between the creative vision set forth by the Creative Director or the client's objectives and the execution team responsible for bringing this vision to life. The Art Director ensures a deep comprehension of the client's needs, brand identity, and the specific messages they wish to convey through the project.

  • Project Team Management & Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of creatives, fostering a culture of continuous innovation. Provide advanced guidance on complex design challenges and creative problem-solving. Make sure that on-time delivery is achieved. 

  • Strategic Project Oversight: Take a lead role in overseeing the visual aspects of strategic and high-profile creative projects. Ensure the alignment of designs with overarching brand strategies.

  • Collaboration with Creative Director: Work in tandem with the Creative Director to conceptualize and execute groundbreaking creative concepts. Contribute significantly to the development of overarching creative strategies.

  • Client Relationship Building: Play a key role in client interactions, understanding and exceeding their creative expectations. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, conveying advanced design concepts persuasively.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enhance quality assurance processes for visual design deliverables. Conduct meticulous reviews to ensure designs surpass industry standards.

  • AI Proficiency: Utilize AI tools proficiently to help augment time and increase productivity around design, copy, video, and other content related to creative services.

  • Extensive experience in a senior visual design role, demonstrating advanced leadership and creative prowess.

  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of effectively managing and mentoring creative teams.

  • Mastery of graphic design software and an in-depth understanding of advanced design principles.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying sophisticated design concepts to clients and team members.

  • Proven expertise in client interaction and a history of delivering visually groundbreaking projects.

Travel Expectations:

  • In-Person Team Meetings: Regular attendance for in-person team meetings is required. 

  • Company Meetings / Retreats: Attendance for all Company-wide Meetings and/or Retreats is mandatory.

  • Client Visits: Occasional travel for client visits may be necessary. Travel frequency will depend on client requirements.

  • International Collaboration (India): Willingness to travel to India as requested to collaborate with cross-functional teams is required. 

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to a Creative Director and collaborates closely with other members of the Creative Services Department.

Collaboration and Interaction:

Lead high-level collaboration with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to align advanced visual designs with overall organizational objectives.
